Long-Term Services and Supports
Members who need Long-Term Services and Supports do not necessarily need medical care, or even behavioral health care. Magellan Complete Care meets LTSS members where they are, working with them, their families, their providers and our community partners to develop and execute plans that help them live as independently as possible.
Magellan Complete Care Long-Term Services and Support Programs
Our LTSS programs are customized to our state customers’ programs and needs, as well as the needs of our members, and can include:
- Supportive housing
- In-home modifications
- Home-delivered meals
- Durable medical equipment
- Care coordination
- Adult day programs
- Personal care attendants
- Physical and behavioral healthcare
- Social supports
- Job training
- Electronic visit verification
- In-home monitoring
Magellan Complete Care recognizes that members’ family and friends often play caregiver roles. We partner with our members and their caregivers so that the caregivers have what they need to best support the member. We meet face-to-face with caregivers to talk about how they’re doing and what services or supports might help them, including:
- Respite time
- Emotional support
- Connections with community resources and support groups
LTSS providers come in many shapes and sizes. We work with geriatric specialists, internal medicine doctors and other traditional medical professionals to ensure our LTSS members receive the right level of physical and behavioral healthcare.
We also rely on durable medical equipment (DME) providers, mail-order services, transportation providers, independent caregivers, meal delivery services and day program operators to round out the supports our members need. These provider types are small businesses and independent proprietors who need our help in complying with regulations and delivering services as contracted. We provide training for these businesses so that they can operate smoothly and provide our members with the things they need.
